Insight on Atmospheric Hydrothermal Aging for Polyester and Polyimide Film Used in Dry-Type Reactor

The breakdown of the dry-type reactor induced by being exposed to moisture needs be further explored. For this purpose, as common insulating films in reactor, PET and PI were targeted investigate effects atmospheric hydrothermal aging on microstructure, thermal stability, mechanical properties films. As result aging, moisture-based degradation obviously occurred surface both films, even at a low temperature. More defects flaws can observed than that film, which responsible for decreasing transmittance tensile strength According statistical analysis with one-sample t test, stability aged has no significant difference raw during aging. Compared stress, hydrolysis ester linkage imide ring are main factors respectively. Improving waterproof ability effective prevent deterioration interturn insulation performance reactor.
